The VA388 Black Eagle is the espresso machine for all those who dedicate their lives to coffee; who study, research, and experiment every day to bring a meaningful coffee experience to the cup. This is the espresso machine for the specialty barista.

Precision

In a professional coffee machine, temperature plays an extremely important role, as it strongly influences the quality of the espresso. A stable temperature provides an excellent and repeatable result. But how? Through research, studies and in-depth experimentation we managed to find a solution that provides control of every single parameter.

Thus was born T3 Technology. T3 Technology means the Barista can set the delivery temperature of each group though three different temperature parameters: water in fusion, steam, and delivery group. The machine does the rest: digital pressure and temperature sensors instantaneously send information to the controller, which through three independent PIDs actively manages each variable.

Design

The Black Eagle has been developed from the ground up to deliver superior functionality while preserving a quality look and feel. The idea, develop a machine for the specialty barista that can deliver high quality espresso in style.

Control

Baristas have full control of the machine thanks to a TFT display with rotary switch menu management. Baristas can set and monitor shot time, brewing temperature, group temperature, boiler pressure, additional pre-infusion and energy saving.

Cool Touch

The Cool Touch steam lever is thermally insulated to be safe for the barista and easy to clean.

Group Display

The group display means the barista can control the weight of extracted liquid and the shot time.

Push Pull Lever

The Push Pull lever system lets the barista work safely and efficiently.

Gravimetric technology gives users an unprecedented level of consistency and control over the coffee brewing process allowing for maximum precision.

BREW RATIO

The brew ratio is the relationship between the weight of ground coffee and the liquid in the cup.

There is no ideal brew ratio. As it varies for each coffee and depends on the baristas goal. Today gravimetric technology in the VA388 Black Eagle means espresso can consistently be made with the same brew ratio.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Baristas can set the weight of ground coffee and liquid in the cup for each blend.
  2. Gravimetric technology in the VA388 weighs the cup and volume of extracted liquid.
  3. Software manages the entire coffee brewing process with maximum precision and barista can see the principal parameters on the group head display.
